Many people assume that EVA is an mecha anime, but in reality it’s a tale about human emotions and feelings. It’s a story about depression, loneliness, growing up and accepting yourself. It’s a story about our daily lives and how we are (not) alone with our problems. In it’s base core it’s a story about being human. You don’t know a thing about Evangelion by listening to someone else tell you about it. YOU need to experience it because it’s different for everyone based on what they’ve been through in their lives. It’s an experience. There’s nothing like it and there probably never will be.
